Jim Stone

President

Jim is the president and founder of Cornerstone Preferred Insurance.  Prior to founding Cornerstone in 2005, Jim was Vice President at Golden Pacific Insurance Services from 1994-2005 and Vice President at Knight Insurance Agency from 1987-1994.
Jim’s extensive insurance experience has allowed him to develop a broad clientele of contractors, manufacturers, wholesale distributors, property owners and not-for-profit organizations. He has enjoyed building Cornerstone Preferred Insurance with what he calls “the best team of insurance Professionals in the Industry.”
Jim served several years on the local board of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association, serving as President in 1993. He diligently works to grow in his professional knowledge, as manifested in his earning his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2002 and his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation in 2011.
Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UCLA in 1984.  If Jim is not serving his clients or managing the Agency, you will likely find him playing with one of his 12 grandchildren, involved at his local church, or swinging a golf club.
